ARTIST STATEMENT
Exhibiting solo, in group exhibitions and within its art history studies, Wednesday aims to
create conversations around queer craft, community, and the role of technology in changing
queer spaces. Within its ceramic practices, Wednesday focuses on the creation of community
through functionality and utilitarian ceramics. Wednesday focuses on the spaces their objects
occupy, and the relationships developed around these functional ceramic works in traditionally
domestic spaces. Wednesday also focuses on emphasizing work made by queer bodies is
inherently queer, rejecting heteronormative aesthetic evaluations, categorizations and
expectations of 2SLGBTQI+ art and artists.
