July 8, 2013Medalta Story wins Alberta Film & Television award
From Travel Alberta News:
Shaun Henning, Director of Photography on Travel Alberta’s Alberta Stories project, has won Best Cinematographer at the Alberta Film & Television Awards (Rosie Awards). His work on the Medalta Alberta Story was recognized in the non-fiction under 30 minutes category. The video documents the experience visitors can have at Medalta Potteries in the Historic Clay District of Medicine Hat.
“It has been an absolute honour to shoot these stories,” said Henning in an interview at the event. “One of the best projects I’ve worked on in my 27 years shooting.”
The Rosie Awards honour excellence in the Alberta film and TV industries and were handed out Saturday May 25, 2013 at the Winspear Centre in Edmonton. The annual gala brings together people from the Alberta film, television, and digital media industries to honour and celebrate the year’s best.
Two more Alberta Stories, Ellis Bird Farm and Mountain Biking in Hinton, were both nominated for Best Original Musical Score in the non-fiction under 30 minutes category. The full list of winners is available at rosieawards.com.
