ARTIST STATEMENT
Initially drawing guidance from my materials, my work likes to challenge belief structures, stereotypes, and conventions. I communicate these ideas through use of humour and formal elements such as colour and form. My work examines and criticizes society’s obligations and expectations of the individual. Playing with these ideas to interact with my audience, it is important that the viewer is able to walk away from their encounter with my work gaining alternative perspectives and insights.
