Medalta is many things to many people. It began in 1912 as a dusty, rough pottery factory on the Western Canadian frontier.

Today Medalta is a National Historic Site that celebrates the growth of Canada. Visitors have the opportunity to experience an intact, restored reminder of the early days of Western Canada.

Medalta hosts a weekly independent Market, contemporary ceramic art, thousands of students and thousands more visitors. They all come to experience authentic history in the Canadian Badlands.

Medalta has made culture cool and it has reached people across Canada.
