Paul Guidera (b. 1992, Toulon, France) lives in Montréal and holds a diploma in Arts and Crafts from Lycée Léonard de Vinci followed (Antibes, France, 2012) and a Diploma of College Studies in Ceramics from the Centre de céramique Bonsecours (Montréal, Canada, 2015).

ARTIST STATEMENT

His practice shows a marked interest in throwing and decorating, as well as drawing. Based on a playful and figurative approach, his plastic vocabulary develops around a work hybridizing utility and sculpture. He recently held his first solo show at the Centre Bonsecours and is recipient of the F. Houdé Award (Montreal QC, 2022). He has been presented his work in the context of public market and group exhibitions in Canada and the United States.
