Exhibition runs August 10th – September 23rd, 2023
BOUNDARIES is an International Travelling Group Exhibition, building networks and community.
The term boundary describes a line that marks the limits of an area; a dividing line. There are robust clay communities on either side of the border in the Midwest that seem to drive each country’s respective clay communities. The Boundaries exhibition is about building bridges between these drivers, Alberta and Montana. The Boundaries exhibition’s voice joins the chorus of individuals and organizations trying to build connections between our impactful clay communities. In particular, the exhibition brings together the work of residents and staff at The Clay Studio of Missoula and the Medalta Clay Center in the spirit of a cultural exchange. The artists involved will be exhibiting internationally while building important networks between Canada and the States which may lay the groundwork for a fruitful future.
