ARTIST STATEMENT
Clara Lou Micheau is a multidisciplinary visual artist. She makes installations, sculptures and medias that explore the self, nature, and society under the prism of scenographic magical realism. She works in a variety of mediums: ceramic, mold making, 3D modeling and print; and digital visuals. As a queer woman, she is sensible to complexity of cohabiting realties due to growing up in between an Americanized Quebecois internet, ruins of Middle-Age in France and the abondance of wild animals in Canada. As of lately, her work discusses the landscape in anthropocentrism, the history of traditions through ceramics and virtual projected identity.
