ARTIST STATEMENT
My artistic practice blends sensual mediums: ceramics, video art, sculpture, songwriting, soundscapes, drawing, and community engagement. The red thread through my works is intimacy and the body. My immersive installation work is a site of union between objects designed for the body, digital reproductions of my body, and your present body. Broadly, my work is a reaction to impacts of consumerism, labour, and isolation on the body. I am motivated by intimate experiences with nature and the evolving mutations in the ecological world, including human fertility and extinction.
