Medalta is no stranger to transition. It is what has made us endure for over a century and become what we are today. In the late 1880s coal was the fuel used to fire the first bricks made in the Historic Clay District. In the early 1900s, the discovery of natural gas coupled with an abundant supply of clay assured that bricks, pottery, and other ceramics were Medicine Hat’s earliest and most successful industries.
And now, we are embarking on another energy transition, looking to capture sunlight to produce electricity.
On December 8th, 2018, we had local experts Terralta Inc. owner Marcus Campbell and Energy Efficiency Alberta board member Sandra Moore meet in our Turning Room for an unveiling of renderings created by architectural technologist Gil Sissons for the proposed solar systems and brief panel discussion.
