May 15, 2019Ginny Marsh is an independent artist in Richardson, Texas, and works with high temperature stoneware and porcelain. She is recently retired from her position as Resident Artist at the University of Dallas where she also taught courses on the history of ceramics. After earning her bachelor’s degree at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana and her MFA at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, she lived on an organic farm in the hills of southern Indiana for thirty years, taught ceramics at the University of Louisville, Kentucky and worked as Editorial Advisor for Chilton Books before returning home to north Texas. For many years, she gave workshops throughout North America. She has published numerous magazine article and her work has been featured in major pottery books. She has been coming to Canada since the 1980s and has been a resident artist at the Banff Centre.
