The Black & White Gala in Support of Medalta has been a major source of fundraising each year and continues to be well received by those who attend. The community members who participate in the evening are cherished friends and highly appreciated donors of the Historic Clay District. We want to make sure that this event continues to be a joyful night for our supporters, so we think it’s time to switch things up a little bit.
We are pleased to announce the theme this year is ‘A Night at the Races’. Not just any races, think of opening day at Royal Ascot, Melbourne Cup, or Kentucky Derby. Imagine equine elegance, and scenes from My Fair Lady. This will be an evening of extravagance, fun, and anticipation. Guests will be ‘racing’ to be the first-place bidder for auction items, enjoying mouth-watering food, and, with luck, able to enjoy the company of peers, without masks or barriers in one of Alberta’s most stunning venues.
The Black & White Gala in Support of Medalta is one of Medicine Hat’s hottest tickets, all for a great cause: Medalta’s Artistic, Community, and Education programming continues to benefit from the generosity of our community members and we can’t express our sincere appreciation more.
But the event is only half of the appeal. All money raised at the Gala is directed to Medalta’s popular and growing programs, which reach tens of thousands of people each year. Medalta has emerged as a provincial cultural and heritage hub. Known for its professionalism in preservation and interpretation of Western Canada’s industrial heritage, Medalta has also earned a reputation as an innovative contemporary arts centre.
By having a voice in both worlds, Medalta has been able to deliver clever, innovative and engaging programs. We have been able to grow into what we are today because of the incredible support we receive from our community. The Black & White Gala is a perfect example of community coming together to support community.
