A ceramic artist for more than thirty years, Les’ very personal forms focus on the interpretation of the Canadian Rocky Mountain landscape where he lived for 25 years. His wheel thrown and altered forms capture the abstract qualities of this sculptural environment. These works have been exhibited and collected in Asia, Europe, Egypt, USA, New Zealand, Australia and Canada.

Les is the former Director of Ceramics at the Banff Centre for the Arts in Canada, a very prominent international residency program. Presently he works out of the Artists in Residence Studio at Medalta preparing for a major exhibition at the Esplanade Arts and Heritage Centre in Medicine Hat. He continues to stay active in the international ceramic community through exhibiting, teaching, and volunteer development work with International organizations.
