Vipoo Srivilasa is originally from Thailand where he received his BFA from Rangsit University in Bangkok.  He is currently living in Melbourne Australia where he received his MFA from the University of Tasmania in Hobart.

Vipoo has taught, lectured and exhibited his work internationally including China, Thailand, Australia, Spain, Russia, U.S.A. and South Korea. His work is also included in several public collections.

Vipoo’s work explores the inherent commonalities between the cultures of his native Thailand and his new home of Australia.

He makes work that is theatrical, flamboyant, humorous and always enriched with an inherent search for beauty.  Vipoo’s work if often completed as a series, each exploring a chosen theme. Many of these themes draw on his bicultural experiences and reference his place between the two worlds.
