Born in London, ON, Canada. Evan discovered his passion for ceramics while attending the Bealart Program at H. B. Beal Secondary School. An award for his 2nd year Bealart work, gave Evan a free summer membership at the London Potters Guild. He continued working with ceramics at the LPG until he decided to enroll in the new Bachelors of Craft & Design Program at Sheridan College, in Oakville, ON. Evan will be entering his thesis year this September after his co-op position of Ceramic Technician at the Kingston Potters Guild. He is excited to continue developing his ceramics passion

Creating has always been an intrinsic part of who I am. When I was a youngster, my choice of toys were Lego and K’nex. I have always enjoyed building with individual parts that come together to form a whole. However, constructing becomes dull if I fully know the end result. Uncertainty allows for the process and I to make together; which leads to more excitement and intrigue. I have found clay to be filled with uncertainty and therefore, a great material to work with. Glad to have discovered something to do that is similar to something I did as a kid.
