School Field Trips

Field Trips to Medalta have become very popular in recent years. The combination of having curriculum-based programs with hands-on activities is too much for most teachers to pass up. Have a look at the descriptions below and if you are interested in booking a field trip, simply get in touch with us (the information is at the bottom of this page). Distance is rarely a barrier to field trips – we have hosted students from as far as 500 km away.

Pre-visit worksheets

To get the most out of our field trip for your class, we have created some fun pre-field trip activities. We encourage you to download and print these activities for your students.

Rebus Story

Kindergarten to Grade 3

The early elementary tour and clay table program is an engaging, hands-on experience for students. Half of the group is instructed in basic hand building techniques for clay, and are then set loose to create with a generous piece of clay. Student masterpieces are bisque fired to be painted back at school. The other group is guided on an engaging tour with activity sheets to gather information and identify hidden items. The groups then switch.
